ZOYER ZYNDEL, Community Leader

Fresno Stonewall Democrats unexpectedly lost a special member and tireless activist, Zoyer Zyndel, on December 26, 2020. Zoyer was a courageous and well respected leader in the transgender, progressive and LGBTQ communities. He served on many boards including Trans-E-Motion, PFLAG, Fresno Rainbow Pride, and was an out-spoken advocate and supporter for many issues. At the 2019 Queer Out Awards, Zoyer received the award for Contributor to Queer Life through Volunteerism. Zoyer gave with his heart and reached out to everyone, we will miss him tremendously.

A proposal for a special project in Zoyer’s honor will be discussed at the January 12 meeting.
