Fresno Stonewall Democrats will meet on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 5:30 PM, at Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant. We start with a thirty minute social so everyone has time to greet each other, exchange information or flyers, and order dinner and drinks before the meeting. We call to order at 6:00 PM.
Guest Speaker: Dr. Katherine Fobear
Dr. Katherine Fobear will present on the state of transgender rights and reivew 2025. Dr. Fobear is an associate professor in women’s, gender and sexuality studies at Fresno State. She is the secretary of Trans-E-Motion, a fresno based nonprofit dedicated to transgender advocacy and resources.
Other Topics
Something we started doing last year is “Officer Reports”. Each of our officers have an opportunity to share reports on different topics that affect or influence our community.
In addition to our regular officer reports there will an additional report this month on “Signatures in lieu of filing fees”.
We will also be hearing from one or more candidates running for office this year.

All Democrats are welcome to attend meetings regardless of membership status but we hope you’ll decide to join (only $20 per year) and participate in club meetings and activities. New members must wait 28 days before they are eligible to vote on any club business.
