Fresno Stonewall Democrats will meet on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 5:30 PM, at Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant. We start with a thirty minute social so everyone has time to greet each other, exchange information or flyers, and order dinner and drinks before the meeting. We call to order at 6:00 PM, make introductions, and proceed with our agenda.

We are excited this month to have Fresno City Councilwoman Annalisa Perea in attendance to swear in our recently elected officers. Immediately following she will address the club on matters the City Council has been involved with.

Elisa Rivera is a candidate for CADEM Regional Director District 10. She is one of several candidates but the only one so far to request to speak to the club membership.

Peter Robertson with the Fresno State Alumni Association will also be speaking to our club about the annual Rainbow Graduation coming in May and how our club can help sponsor regalia for the students.

Members Artemes Gidram and Patty Cappelutti will also be addressing the club with reports on recent protests. Artemes attended EQCA’s Advocacy Day in Sacramento. This Saturday  (has not happened yet at the time of this email) there will be a massive protest (details below), one of thousands across the country, and Patty will give a report on that.

Please join us Tuesday night at 5:30 PM for our March Monthly Meeting. The agenda and minutes will be available soon in the Google Drvie. You can access those files and Zoom info at https://bit.ly/fsd-mtgdocs

All Democrats are welcome to attend meetings regardless of membership status but we hope you’ll decide to join (only $20 per year) and participate in club meetings and activities, our endorsement process, and election of officers this upcoming January. New members must wait 28 days before they are eligible to vote on ANY club business.

HANDS OFF!

SATURDAY, APRIL 5TH, 2025 AT 11:00 AM

On Saturday, April 5th, we’re taking to the streets to fight back with a clear message: Hands off!

This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.

A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Dem Table at Big Hat Days

Come out to Big Hat Days on Saturday or Sunday and visit the Democratic Party’s vendor booth to say hi and support our presence there. We will be there all day to talk to and register voters and provide information on how to get involved, the issues we face, and the rights we still have to fight for.

We are still here and we’re not going back.
