SPEAKER: Local Candidates

Several candidates running in the upcoming June Primary will join us on Tuesday, some in person and some via Zoom, to speak to members and meeting attendees about their campaigns. We are also accepting updated Candidate Questionnaires in anticipation of our Endorsement Meeting in March. Please join us on Tuesday, February 10th, to learn more about the candidates asking for your votes. Please arrive by 5:30 PM to get your dinner and drink orders in!

MEETING INFO:

We start with a thirty minute social so everyone has time to greet each other, exchange information or flyers, and order dinner and drinks before the meeting. We call to order at 6:00 PM.

All Democrats are welcome to attend meetings regardless of membership status but we hope you’ll decide to join (only $20 per year) and participate in club meetings and activities. New members must wait 28 days before they are eligible to vote on any club business.

The agenda and minutes will be available online at:

Local Democrat Candidates Invited to Speak

If you’re a Democrat and you’re registered to run in the upcoming Primary then you are invited to speak to our members about your campaign at our February 10, 2026 meeting. Members of Fresno Stonewall Democrats will decide on candidate endorsements for this election year at our March 10, 2026 meeting.

Meetings are held at Los Amigos Restaurant (5088 N Blackstone Ave, Fresno, CA 93710) on Blackstone just north of Shaw. The meeting room is open by 5:30 pm for a 30 minute social and attendees are invited to order dinner and/or drinks at that time. We call the meeting to order at 6:00 pm and proceed with our Agenda. Our meetings are hybrid and you may attend by Zoom if you are unable to attend in person.

At the February meeting candidates will be given an opportunity to speak for 3 minutes. Candidates seeking endorsement must complete a Questionnaire (download here). The document is in MS Word format so that you can freely type your responses and create space as needed. Completed Questionnaires are due by February 28 and will be made public on our website and shared with members.

Candidates unavailable to speak at the February meeting may provide a video (up to 3 minutes long) to be played at the February meeting.

  • Feb 10th: Candidates invited to speak to members in person or on Zoom
  • Feb 28th: Questionnaires due by end of day
  • Mar 10th: Members will vote on endorsements
